When I did contract work with the C & O in the late eighties, we had a really bad winter snow storm. Rode a plow train from Benton Harbor, MI to Somewhere in Indiana. "Around the Horn" of lake Michigan. It was so funny to watch the cars waiting at the crossings get totally covered with snow and then could not cross the track because of the 3' plus piles.
